The compost has been re shredded several times during the summer, it now a lovely fine compost ready for mixing with our biochar.
We are using our insulated retort to process surplus Molinia grass into biochar.
After mixing it will be left for at leas two months to ensure that the biochar is enriched with the compost nutrients. It is also peat free!
The resulting enriched Biochar will be used by participants in an EIP research project and purchased by local gardeners.
