During the COP26, Powys Artscape Project held a series of events engaging Powys communities across Mid Wales to connect with their environment through a series of highly imaginative creative arts experiences. Biochar Wales spent a weekend in Hafren Forest explaining the Carbon Sequestration properties of biochar and completing a biochar burn display. Artist Billie Ireland added the biochar to a classic Welsh weave pattern cut into the field as both a symbol linking place, material and people. More details about Billie
